Great property, great location. |Recommended: YesI ve been here with my family for 1yr now and we love it. It s very quiet and the view of the bay and the ocean in the distant is amazing. If you have a family or even if you don t and you want a quiet place to live that s located in a good area I would recommend Chateau Vue. Maintenance gets attended to fairly quickly and paying rent online makes things even more convenient as well as the nearby stores and food spots. I love that you have one assigned spot and can pay for an extra one if you need it but you will always have at least one parking spot. The only thing is any guests you may have will have to park on the street. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment.
It's very pleasant & quiet but kind of expensive.|Recommended: YesI've lived here for several years & enjoy it very much. It's clean & quiet & has a lovely view. Suzi is a wonderful manager & always does her best for the tenants. My only complaint would be the high price of rent. We had a rent increase of $25/month in 2010, $45/month in 2011 & $50/month just now. I understand San Diego is an expensive city to live in but one of the complexes next door to us charges over $200 less per month. If I wasn't so old & set in my ways, I would seriously consider moving. As a longtime resident, I was hoping the rent increase wouldn't be so high; it's a lot to pay when you're on a fixed income. I know the rent increase isn't Suzi's fault; I just hope there won't be any other increases for many years to come.
This is a comfortable and clean place to live.|Recommended: YesI would tell them that it is a small community of mostly respectful people. The management is fantastic and always responds quickly to any request. I would tell them that sometimes it gets loud when the kids are in the pool, since it is in the middle of the courtyard, and there is someone who likes to play loud alt rock in the middle of the day occasionally, but that overall everyone is quiet and considerate. Also, the access to the freeway is awesome!
Since we have lived at this apartment for quite a long time|Recommended: YesSince we have lived at this apartment for quite a long time, I would like to say that Suzy has been a very good manager for us. (and we have been through quite a few managers over the years) She takes care of issues that come up asap. She always asks us if we need anything. This means a lot to us as renters.
The best views around! Spacious apartment and updated grounds.|Recommended: YesIt's a cute 1950's California style complex. The grounds and apartment exterior have been recently updated beautiful!! The apartments are very spacious and open. The manager is amazing. After living in 7 different apartment bulidings, I have never had someone so quick to resolve issues before! She is so sweet and everyone knows we can always count on her!! Tenants are all ages. Everyone is respectful and it is a really pleasant place to be!
Great place to live, everyone is very nice & the apartments are big and well kept.|Recommended: YesWe have live here for almost 8 years and have seen two diiffrent managers come and go. Now we have a new manager and she has been doing a great job. Always ready to help if we need something. Ground are well kept. If there is a problem with maintenance she is quick to solve the problem. And laundryrooms are always kept clean, something we did not see with the another two managers. Also great views of the bay and close to freeway. Susy is the best manager we have had and we are very happy living here.
Spacious, good location, family friendly, nice pool.|Recommended: YesGreat location, easy access to freeway. Large open living space, big kitchen, lots of light, great views. The whole place is family friendly with kids of all ages living here. The maintenance man responds really quickly, in a day or on the day you raise an issue. The property manager has your back. When they had renovations scheduled near to my wife's due date, they rearranged all the work to make sure it wouldn't inconvenience us at all. She also won't let any antisocial behavior persist. There were some bad tenants a while ago, but they are gone now, evenings are chill. We looked at tons of places, this was easily our top choice.
Beautifully renovated, awesome neighbors, great location, amazing manager!|Recommended: YesI have lived in the complex for about a year and a half. I have seen two different managers and have lived in 2 different apartments on property. When I first moved in, the complex seemed to have a lot more riff-raff, a few really loud tenants, poor maintenance, and not the best communication when issues would arise. It definitely wasn't close to being the worst ever, but not the best either. We have had a new manager now for about a year (I think) and the property has done a complete 180! She really is the best property manager I have ever had! She cares about her tenants, not just our safety but our comfort as well. She is super fast with maintenance issues and she always follows up to make sure we are happy with any repairs. You really cannot beat the location as we are within walking distance to the beaches, bays, stores, parks, and public transportation. The 9-5 commute is not bad at all since traffic usually goes the opposite direction (for me) and definitely less traffic getting in and out of the area compared to OB or PB. The tenants make up a very diverse group, all ages, backgrounds, and lifestyles, but the overall atmosphere is pretty chill and relaxed. The neighbors are all friendly, not too rowdy, and we all look out for each other. The grounds are well manicured with beautiful plants and flowers, brand new windows, paint, trim, and fixtures all around. The pool is heated for parts of the year and is always kept clean. The apartments are HUGE and rent is extremely reasonable compared to others in the area! They are older buildings, but each apartment is being updated as tenants move in/out and our maintenance crew is super fast. My only complaints are 1. The are can be a little seedy (we have also had a bike stolen) 2. We do need a bigger bike rack (mine is currently being held hostage, pinned in the back corner under like 12 other bikes! It's kind of a funny sight) 3. We don't have a Jacuzzi But, none of these small issues are deal breakers by any means! My overall assessment of the property is that I love it and wish we never have to move!
I love the location, very nice people who live here, and grounds always beautifully kept LOVE IT|Recommended: YesYou will love the location, walking and riding your bike to the Bay is awsome, all stores, busses, with in blocks from the complex. Tenants are caring and freindly, when I walk up to the steps to my home I feel like I am walking to my private motel . I am older so not having to bother with all the responsibilties of a home and yard make more time to enjoy life. One complaint to express, we need a bike rack a big commercial one. Last week I had my second in 3 months bike stolen. First time was middle of the night or after I went to bed, last week it happened while our family was home between 7 & 10pm that concerns me for safety reasons I am in unit 11 and the gate is right there I would like to see a secured door with only key access to close to were tenants live. Some think it is probably someone who lives here and knows of my habit of leaving my bike out, so who ever it was was comfortable doing it in day light with me being home. I ride it most morning , leave out if I am home or put in the house when I leave and at night. I do have 2 other bikes locked belowe the stairwell by back laundry matt. Very time consuming and difficult to walk up and down the stairs to put there so I take the easy way. I suggest the back laundry room area there is lots of open space, out of the view of others only tenants would really know. Would have to hold alot of bikes lots of tenants have bikes. Good sugestion, Bike rack and secure that front gate off Clairemont dr.
Wonderful complex wih great views and awesome prices |Recommended: YesIts a great complex that has great neighbors and management, every one here is very friendly and helpful to one another. The location is awesome and the price cant be beat. The apartments are a little old inside but they are slowly making upgrades to modernize them. Its a quite complex with very little noise during the week and even on the weekends. Kid friendly, pet friendly and everything within walking distance.

The 3 managers who've served here since I came have been professional, capable, kind, caring, hard working women. They make all the difference. Insulation between floors is a little thin! Love the quiet, love the respect for quiet evenings & nights. Do not love yappy dogs! Have in fact recommended these apartments to various people. Don't let anyone mess with our view!
This is a great place to call home! |Recommended: YesI would strongly recommend living at Chateau Vue. The new property manager really cares about her tenants. She is very friendly and extremely reliable. We been tenants at this apartment complex for a year but my boyfriend has been here for four years and since the new manager was hired things changed right away. This complex is always clean and all the improvements that were promised to my boyfrined when he first moved in never happened, until the new manager was hired. We are very happy and grateful that Susy is now our new manager. I strongly recommend living here. :)
We love living here!|Recommended: YesVery pleasant! Our manager stays on top of keeping our community clean and happy - she is a joy:) We have mostly wonderful neighbors, and we are close to shopping, great parks, and the bay. There is always something to do not too far from home!
